I'm the IT manager here at this company and we're on MAS90 3.41 running
on a Novell. I'm testing moving to Windows based server so we can retire
the Novell box (it's only 8 years old ;-) )

I copied the MAS90 directory off the Novell box onto the test Windows
server, disconnected from the network to prevent any "accidents" with
production data, then ran the MAS90 3.5 installer and installed the
application on the server. Then I started the MAS90 and it asked to
convert the data. I get the following error:

"SY0CTL.SOA file is not a BBX data file"

Ideas anyone? I've contacted our reseller but they're more interested it
seems to sell us MAS500 instead.

1. Try renaming SY0CTL.SOA to SY0CTL.OLD and reloading the new version
(you'll loose some things like the module that the user was last in,
list of modules used - but when you reload MAS90 the list of modules
will be reinstalled.

2. Check this compatibility chart.
