Does anyone know how I can use MYOB data on my Palm Pilot? Is there
anyway to do a two-way synchronization with customers and appointments?
Something like Act! and the Palm conduit is desired.

Howdy Mark,

While you spend hours fiddling with your Palm Pilot, a stack of 3x5 cards
might handle your needs faster and not have to worry about dropping them or
how long the battery will last.

Many printers these days have a slot for envelopes that will also print 3x5
index cards. They fit nicely in most shirt pockets.

Many years ago I used to publish pre-printed index cards that were set up
for tracking appointments and customers. Much more flexible than the usual
printed appointment books.

Chris,

Thanks for the idea, but we will have 200+ customers that may call when
our trainers are out of the office. The trainers will need to make an
appointment for the client, change client information, ect. Having
all the necessary information on the road would be too many 3x5 cards.
Trainers may get a cell phone call to schedule an appoinment. The
trainers cannot be expected to carry the cards, paper, whatever, with
them at all times. A Palm OS can work on a cell phone or small PDA, so
it would be easy to carry along.

Thanks for the thought.

You can export cards into a tab-delimited text file; however there is no way
to export the contact log, so appointments couldn't be handled that way.
Once you have the text file, you can import that into the Palm desktop, and
from there into the Palm. I suppose someone could write an AppleScript to
automate it on Macs, but I don't know what could be done on a PC.
