Hi, This is a very general question so I'm expecting some very general
answers. Our current accounting solution does not at all meet our
crrent needs for various reasons. My question is for a company with
annual revenues around 25 million a year (and hopefully growing) what
price range should I be looking in for another accounting solution.
Just wanting some opinions.

I can't quote you prices, but here's a good place to start with comparison
shopping...

I assume you are in the US - I'm in a similar situation in Canada
(accounting software outdated and needs replacing) but we're a smaller
company (in retail electronics) around $4 million annual revenue. I'm
looking in the $10-$15 thousand price range. Lower priced programs are
generally feature limited and don't do what I need. Haven't found
anything I like yet ... I'm quite picky! Don't know what industry you
are in but if it has anything to do with manufacturing, or
distribution, retail, etc. and you have a budget in the $20-30 thousand
range, you might want to have a look at Syspro. I gave it a close look
and it came closest to doing everything I could hope for but the price
was just too high, and carries a stiff annual maintenance/upgrade cost.
(My prices are CA $ so would be less in US $). But depending on what
you need, it might still be worth a look. It is extremely customizable
from within the program avoiding extra customizing costs which come
back to bite you sometimes when upgrading to new versions.

Looked into AccPac options? 3 years ago my employer was looking at AccPac
for small business and Jonas. They opted for Jonas (against my advice) and
dropped 20grand. They could have done everything for 12 grand with AccPac
with construction addins.
