I suppose there are many answers to my question, but what is the best
advice you can give to this question:

I work away from home and I fly home on weekends. I am expensing the
hotel, auto rental, flight, and other expenses. is there a time limit
on doing this? Can I only do it for a year? What if my contract
continues beyond the 1 year?

Also, right now I am getting a "per diem" expense check, which is
excellent. But I hear that it can only go for a year. And the so called
"conus per diem rate" only applies to hotel and meals, not airfares and
car rental. So what is the deal....how do I "account" for all my
expenses?

Thanks in advance.

As most on this forum would tell you, consult a knowledgeable tax
accountant. The answers will depend on where you are... and what your
specific situation is and the arrangement with your employer.
