Is it possible to directly upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics SL (or
something else) directly from Solomon 2.0.6 SP3? Is there a utility
program or data migration tools that can prep the data? I am
interested to know what upgrade options exist and if anyone has any
pointers to other resources that would be great too. Thanks.

If you mean direct as in 2.06SP3 to Dynamics SL 6.5 in one step, then
the answer is no. Your reseller has access to a conversion tool called
FastForward. The process that would be followed is:

1. Upgrade 2.06SP3 to 2.06SP6
2. Run the FastForward utilities. There are two steps here. The
Integrity Check looks at the data and identifies potential problems. It
will also fix some of them and give indications to the problems of those
you'll have to fix manually. The second step is the Conversion Wizard
which will take the data once it passes the Integrity Check and creates
SQL databases compatible with Solomon 6.0.
3. After SL6.5SP1 is installed, run the Database Maintenance program to
upgrade the databases.

I highly recommend running the process a couple of times to document and
prepare for the final conversion. You can expect the first time or two
to take a couple of days.

An alternative option is to contact Microsoft Services and see what
they'd charge to do this for you.

I don't need to upgrade directly to SL 6.5, but I would like to avoid
manual exports from IV 2.0.6, combining them, and mapping and
importing. This is exactly the type of resource information I was
looking for. Stuart, thank you for your help.
