inexpensive payroll programs

I have searched on the internet and found two payroll programs for
under $30. My business has just one employee.

The two programs I've found are:

SIMPLY ACCOUNTING BASIC which includes a payroll module

BREAKTRU PAYROLL 2006

Has anyone used either of these programs? Does anyone have a
recommendation of one program over the other?

I know I can download and try each on a free trial basis, but opinion
of anyone who has
knowledge of the programs would be helpful.

All opinions, information, dissertations, etc. welcomed!

I would do a Payroll for one employee manually. Easier than using a
computer to do it. You may find an inexpensive computer payroll program,
but there will probably be fees involved to get the tax table updates for
the program. Do it manually and save yourself a lot of grief.
